Video: Flight Attendant Union Says We Can Be 100,000 Eyes in the Skies to End Slavery

The Blue Lightning Initiative enlists workers in all modes of transportation to take part in a national effort to uncover modern day slavery. The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA) is working with Congress to make this program mandatory at all of our airlines – training Flight Attendants to be the Eyes in the Skies necessary to identify and report human trafficking.

June 6, 2015, marks the two-year anniversary of the Blue Lightning Initiative launched by the Department of Transportation and Department of Homeland Security and managed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, to uncover modern day slavery, bring victims to safety, and apprehend offenders.
